Working in the HVAC industry since a teenager, Rick began his career working for his father, Milt, at Milt’s Heating & Air-Conditioning in Sarasota, FL. He later went on to start his own company named after his father, Milt’s Of Amelia, on Amelia Island, FL in 1990.
High-School sweetheart to Richard with 40-Years of marriage, Mother to their three sons, Kim’s insight into the large picture of Milt’s has been instrumental in the company’s success and brand since the start of the business.
Richard & Kimberly develop a partnership with lifelong friend Taylor Edwards to establish Milt’s Of Amelia Inc. Rick provides residential and marine A/C service, refrigeration service as well as custom handiwork out of the bed of a pickup truck, catering to the short-term rental property market.
Milt’s Of Amelia focuses on becoming the highest quality provider of Heating & Air-Conditioning service, installation and repair. Milt’s experiences year-to-year growth in customer base and staffing – relocating from a small storage warehouse to a 3,000 sq ft warehouse and office space.
After two decades of successful partnerships with other manufacturers such as York, Carrier/Bryant, Amana & Trane, Milt’s is approached by Daikin to become an exclusive dealer.
Milt’s becomes a top 50 Nationwide Daikin Elite Dealer through industry-leading Inverter Sales, Purchases centralized commercial location on Amelia Island with over 9,000 sq ft of warehouse & office space.
